I really enjoyed this first impression! I love the idea of this highly-renowned family of thieves, and I think that lots of little details like all the tests given to Ross on the regular and just the way so much of thievery is so ingrained into her really makes this feel like a believable lifestyle. I enjoyed Ross as a character right from the get-go to, I think that her desire to live of a life of her own and her love for her family make her very compelling.
The action of the early heists really drew me in as well, I just kept on reading and was very invested right away. The same was true of the mysterious Thieves Gambit, I felt like we were given just the right amount of details to build excitement for it but keep things very mysterious. This was a super strong start with very high stakes!
