Rosalyn's voice and perspective is clear from the very first page, and the action is well-balanced with backstory. I do love an anti-hero, and while I doubt many readers will find the 'living on an island with a family of thieves hook' relevant to their personal lives, the themes of isolation and emotionally distant family are more likely to hit home. A nice balance of action, intrigue, and the teenage urge to figure out who you are for yourself.
