The cover and comparison to The Inheritance Games caught my eye as I recently read and enjoyed that series. Reading through the First Look, I really liked the pacing and rhythm that it established that kept me moving at a good pace and wanting to read more about what happens next.
Starting strong with a little mini-heist and a gambit with a cat was fun and hopefully keeps a light-hearted note to the story as it develops.
