This book definitely has an Ocean’s Eleven vibe but without the team aspect so far and involves teenagers competing in theft. The excerpt puts the characters in place and sets the stage for the game. Seems like a good fit for fans of YA fiction involving mystery, action and gaming. An interesting set up that is easy to be drawn into as a reader - makes me want to keep reading.
