For months on end I have been hearing about Jessica Goodman's book "They Wish They Were Us" and I totally TOTALLY understand why. This book was filled with things I am obessed with. Secret Societies, hazing and privelage.
In the story we have a school where the "lucky" few are selected to join an elite society called "The Players". The Players are pretty much guaranteed sucess after high school. In all honesty, there were some points where I was reminded of the movie "The Skulls"
Students would die to be in The Players in fact three years ago, Jill's (one of the now leaders of The Players) best friend did. They said it was murder, and that it was her boyfriend who killed her. Now Jill's memories are surfacing and she remembers what really happened back then.
I was hooked in this book. Characters were interesting and as spoiled and privelage as they were, I still couldn't stop reading. This is def one that should not be missed!
