This was an interesting young adult mystery/thriller. A little reminiscent of Veronica Mars - Jill’s high school career hasn’t been the same since her best friend was murdered her freshman year. She and her group of friends have soldiered on and are seniors and in a not so secret secret society called the Players. It’s senior year and in between stressing over college acceptance Jill starts to try to figure out who she wants to be and that maybe the person they’ve all believed responsible for murdering Shay is innocent. I enjoyed the writing although the story was a little slow to start it picked up nicely and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The characters were all very flawed and not actually all that like able but they still hook the reader into the story and their lives.
