Teenagers make interesting storylines in that they can be so unpredictable. No one ever expects a friend is going to die. If they do, it is assumed it will be either a horrible car accident or suicide, but never by the hands of someone else. Too often in the news, it has been teenagers killing each other due to jealous rage, so I am curious to see why he didn't do it, and who really did. Girls can be backstabbers, and often there are such high emotions in teens, that the unexpected should not be unexpected in that they are still getting things under control. Teenagers always think they have secrets also, but secrets are never safe in high school either. Also. with all of the exonerations going on, it is interesting to read stories about that, and how the police maybe did get it wrong and why.
