This book fell somewhere in the middle to me. Came for the setting, stayed for the need to finish.

When I was looking at the book, the cover drew me in out of nostalgia. The plaid on the front looked like my own personal high school uniform. This immediately told me that it was probably going to take place in some type of private school setting. I LOVE books that take place at private schools because they typically have that dark academia feel. This book had that at times, but overall missed the mark. The setting wasn’t so good that it pulled the whole story together.

The characters weren’t particularly likable, which I believe was the point, but it was to the point that I almost did not really care what happened to them. They were a little too entitled and bratty.

The writing was okay and same with the plot. The mystery wasn’t some huge shock to me.
