How do I write about this book when the only word that comes to mind is blah? I wanted to like it but maybe I’m past that point in my life where I enjoy reading about entitled, privileged, children?
Nothing against the author’s writing style as I do think the book was well written. I don’t know if this will be an isolated opinion but I did find the ending to be a bit predictable.
I didn’t find myself eager to read this book once I’d started. I kind of felt like I was just powering through it so I could move onto the next.
Some of the characters were like able and I did appreciate the relationship between Jill and her brother. I wish we had seen the females in the book take more of a stand against how the men treated them.
Overall it wasn’t a bad book. It could just be that I no longer appreciate this particular genre.
