The plot was intricate, I enjoyed the world building. "The Players" and their traditions were very well thought out and developed. Each character had a distinct personality that was easy to follow, and well developed relationships. The incorporation of flashbacks created a mysterious undertone, it intrigued me, I wanted to know all the details. The details of the novel and major plot points slowly unraveled overtime, which created suspense. The development of the dead character was very well done, I felt as though she were still alive and was attached to her. The plot twist, who the killer was, was obvious from the first act. In some moments it was obvious that the author was trying too hard to sound like a teenage character, which took away from my enjoyment. Overall the sentence structure was very descriptive and poetic, it made reading the story very fun. I just was not surprised by who the killer was and was not blown away by this book.
