the first thing that caught my attention was the cover, it perfectly captures the potential readers attention while at the same time letting them know what type of book to expect. In the prologue, I enjoyed how the main character views rage as all consuming. The quote "It’s hard to remember what we were like before, when anger was just temporary" stuck after reading. That is what good writing does, it stays with you after you finish closing the book. The anticipation of senior year and all that it will be mixed with the reminder is nicely conveyed. the main character is relatable in the sense she feels like an outsider in her own group of friends, even though she shouldn't. i like how we start reading with the knowledge that Shelia was not necessarily a good person. this story has been done before, but not in the way the author is doing it. i really enjoyed this book
