I won a free copy of this book in a Bookish raffle, which I truly appreciate. I loved the cover and the title was so catchy. The description sounded amazing, so I was looking forward to reading it. The book started off okay and seemed to have potential but, unfortunately, it never picked up. I get what the author was aiming for, but this book missed the mark for me. I really wanted to like this book based on the title and cover alone, but it wasn't for me. Maybe my own expectations were too high because I was expecting almost a Pretty Little Liars level of murder mystery among this group of "cool kids." Instead, the book was filled with cliche verbiage for teenagers who lacked depth. The dialogue for the characters was so annoying and even their interactions were annoying. I tried to push through to at least found out who was the real killer, but I realized that I actually didn't care. Once I hit the point of dreading picking the book up, I knew it was headed towards the DNF box.
