The setup for this story is absolutely perfect. I love the allusion of a perfect life with a perfect school perfect grades and a perfect friend group just to see it all unravel when everyone's secrets become revealed. That has always been such a fun trope. Also, the boarding setting is so perfect. Having the backdrop of the last year of high school with such high pressures on making this year perfect is a recipe for depressed emotions, angst, and character development. Finally, the setup for this mystery that is probably traumatizing for our main character is just an extra can of worms that makes this story go to the next level.
