First of all, I absolutely love this cover! The plaid background is clearly indicative of a private school uniform, which makes my mind think: students, privilege, money, secrets, rebellion (all the things I love). Secondly, I find the way the title is displayed pretty epic. The synopsis allows readers to know a key variable in the plot development is "friendship." Each word of the title is pieced together by what looks like a necklace. The basic gold chain with one word reminds me of either a "best friends" type necklace or personal name necklace. Either way, it is pretty clever and lets the audience know the genre is likely YA. Also, let's not ignore the blood splatter and broken chain on "Us." ! My ONLY negative comment is using "they" twice in the title. I prefer shorter titles, but thats just my personal opinion and does not make me want to read the book any less.
