It IS a mystery that we even survive high school

I couldn't agree with the first line more. When I think back to high school, I get sick to my stomach. 22 years later. "They Wish They Were Us", from the First Look, features fast-paced, clean writing, and the author really hooked me with that opener. This book captures the true feeling of high school: the cliques and cliches, the haves and have nots. As the protagonist unpacks the details surrounding her best friend's murder, I'll expect mystery and intrigue, heartbreak and purpose.
