When I first saw the cover my first thought was ‘gossip girl’ so it was fitting that the description mention it, but you can tell it only has hints of that type of story on the first read. I like the short backgrounds that have set up the main characters so far, and I’m interested to see how these connections play out. I already have a few theories for how the story could play out, but nothing solid yet which is a sign of a good opening that doesn’t give too much away. I’m itching to learn more about Jill and Adams relationship, how Marla fits into the group, and why Rachel is reaching out after so many years. Great start that would keep me reading.
