This book at first didn't seem like it would interest me, as it is very much out of my usual genre. The writing style is really clean and crisp though, and just feels very real and accurate to the setting and characters. However, I don't think I could manage reading a whole book with characters that I had as much as these ones, even with the protagonist included. There are some things mentioned that I suppose are meant to make me feel for her, as she is a scholarship kid, but really she's just as unbearably awful as the other rich prep school girls. I imagine there must be some sort of character development coming, where she isn't quite so bad anymore, but I'm not sure I have the patience to get there, sadly. The cover is intriguing, and definitely feels on brand for the type of book she's trying to write.
