Jill is part of the popular crowd at an elitist prep school - something most high school kids can only dream of. But the murder of her best friend by one of their classmates three years ago is still hanging over her and her friends, despite their attempts to show the rest of the school how much they've moved on. And a text from the older sister of the boy convicted saying he's innocent will spiral their carefully contrived world more out of control. This definitely reminds me of high school (and college) and the people constantly walking a fine line between illusion and reality for the sake of appearances.
