Not my cup of tea
This book was a lot of teen drama and angst and not my particular cup of tea. It deals with relationships between sisters and high school hierarchy. There was a really intense sister sister relationship that should have been their soft place to land and instead it was the source of a lot of pain and misunderstanding.
This went like a lot of teen sagas go. Shallow romances, petty jealousy and of course...murder. And although I didn’t guess the ending it just didn’t feel satisfying enough to me.
What I did like about the book was the track element. I loved it the competitive edge because I could relate. I was in competitive sports in high school so I could relate to the need to succeed.
I was just overall underwhelmed. I need at least one character and I couldn’t find anyone to root for. I did like the character development and in the end I’m glad there was was some tied up ends.
