[SPOILERS for this book!!]

This is one of those books that was fun to read, but will not stick with me for the rest of my life. I felt the same way about the last book that Goodman wrote, so I'm not sure why I thought this one would be different. I really liked the fact that it was cross-country themed because my brothers are super into that and I thought I could relate in some way. But besides the running aspects, I wasn't really that intrigued. It seemed like just another mystery book where someone is murdered in the woods and no one knows who did it, but everyone seems to have secrets. I did think it was interesting that the murder itself was accidental. That was kind of traumatizing. Just imagine trying to scare someone and ending up accidentally killing them instead. Poor Mila. She was actually never supposed to die. I just didn't feel like I liked or knew her well enough to feel too sad about it.
