I really liked the authors first (?) book, They Wish They Were Us. However, while the writing styles of these two books are obviously similar, I found the story for this book to be less interesting. I knew going into this book that they focus would be on sisterhood and the like, but I still was hoping for a little more than that. I didn’t find the whole mystery of Mia’s disappearance to be all that riveting and the twist at the end was easily guessed. It’s a well written book don’t get me wrong and if this sounds like it would interest you, by all means read it, but I don’t think this one was made for me. I will be checking out her future books because she is a really good author with great ideas, but honestly I don’t like female power centered books, and that’s coming from a woman. I like a good strong female character but the whole concept of sisterhood just does not draw me.
