Relatable Characters and Intriguing Cover

First and foremost, the cover is very mysterious, and indicates that something possibly deadly happened judging from the blood, yet is also creative because the shoe on the cover happens to be a running shoe, and could also later in the story become a valuable piece of evidence. As for the first look, I find Stella very relatable. She states that she runs "to be free," and using running as a coping mechanism for what is happening at her school, and in her family life.

Overall, I think this would be a great read that I'm excited to dive into!
