I liked the cover of the books and as a former competitive runner, I could appreciate and relate to the rigors and stress of training. The excerpt didn’t do much to get my attention as I was focused on getting to the “hook” of the novel. But the “hook” never came. Presume that it gets a lot more interesting as you delve deeper into the book. Not sure if I would like to continue reading.
