This was an amazing and gripping first look of the book! Jessica Goodman excellently portrays the relationship of the two sisters by showing jealousy and competition while also showing how they untied at times due to the struggles of their family! After reading the synopsis, I’m excited to see how Stella and Ellie unite against the accusations against them, and their developing relationship with Mila! Also, Stella being part of the LGBTQA+ community makes my heart so incredibly happy, so I cannot wait to read the entire novel. The cover is also amazing: It follows the gold engraved with words and drops of blood theme from Goodman’s debut story, which I thought was a great connection.
