Told from alternating points of view, Stella and Ellie set the story up for us. The story unfolds slowly, not giving us a lot of details about what has transpired to get us to this point. We know that something happened last year that makes people concerned about Stella’s anger. We know that the sisters have a very competitive relationship even though it seems they were once very close.
The book is an easy read and seems to move at a fast pace. The fact that details of the past are being withheld creates interest and I would like to know the girls secrets. It seems like there will be many more secrets come to light than just the girls. I found the flashback to be confusing and wished it was more clearly identified.
I would like to continue reading the story and learn to outcome of the mystery.
