The very first line of this book drew me in, showed me that this is going to be an epic journey of love, magic, and either giving into what's laid out for you or writing your own destiny.
Now I know that's a lot to get from one line, and the rest of the firstlook just got better and better. I found myself giggling after the first few lines, wondering how the sorcerer died, and how on earth Tabatha was going to keep it all going.
As someone who has friends that have to try and be the "perfect Asian daughter" I see the amount of stress that puts on someone, and how hard it can be to keep everything in line, seeing Tabatha try and talk her parents into this summer job was joyous to say the least.
I have a feeling that she's going to be a troublemaker, I mean really how could she not if she's going to be working for that sorcerer, and with where this first look ended I'm quite frankly itching to find out what happens next, or previously, or in the present.....
