I’m not much of a contemporary fantasy reader, so I didn’t have this book on my radar. But I couldn’t let go of the chance to read this first look and it impressed me immediately. That first line of the book is killer and it hooked me right away. I also loved Tabatha’s witty narrative voice and I can’t wait to get to know her and Callum better.
