I've always been intrigued by murder mysteries set in fantasy worlds and have felt that there aren't enough books that combine these two genres. This first impression did not disappoint in that regard! The first line was beautiful and catching and I was absolutely hooked. I love the narrator's voice and how the story is told through it. She feels very real and authentic. The world building that unfolds through this is perfect. I'm really excited to read this book!
