Unsure how I feel about this one

The cover and title of THERE IS A DOOR IN THIS DARKNESS is interesting and caught my attention. I had mixed feelings about the premise after reading the synopsis. I still feel the same after reading the sample First Impression. The writing style is ok but I don’t feel sucked into the book like I do with others. This is one that I wouldn’t purchase but I would consider borrowing from the library to give it a try. Maybe I need more to really get into it.
