By the end of the first page, I was tripping over the name "Wilhelmina." By the end of the second, that's all I could see. But it kept going, Wilhelmina, repeating, over and over until that's all I saw on every page. I appreciate the author's effort to avoid pronoun confusion, but I couldn't kept past that repetition. The writing just felt clunky to me.
