Magical Realism isn't my favorite genre. It really has to be done just right and so far I'm not sure if I'm on board with this book. It's interesting, with the setting being during Covid pandemic time - it's still so weird to read about it in a book when it feels like we barely have left it in the past. So far I've liked Wilhelmina and her inner worries and feelings that come with Covid and family and friends.
