I was curious about this book from the moment I saw the cover design and read the very brief synopsis. So far this book reminds me a little bit of Isabel Allende novels because there are a lot of seemingly strong characters and their purpose for being together in this book is not totally clear. However, this YA novel has the added conflict of Covid social restrictions thrown into the mix as well as some magical realism. Wilhelmena, the main character around which everything seems to rotate, has magic or a sixth sense. Now what she will be doing with that magical power is still a mystery. This book is very interesting.
