I really enjoy the dates the books give and that it seems to jump around between various days/years. I think that getting information variably throughout the book makes it more interesting and keeps you curious about what's coming. I enjoy the symbolism of the maze on the front cover and it makes me curious about what kind of "maze" will occur throughout the book.
