I’m a major fan of this author’s fantasy novels so I was really excited to see a new book from her. However, this book is a huge departure from her previous series. The writing is similar but it has a more contemporary bend which is both interesting and a little odd. I’d like to read more to see if the story gets better but only because already a fan.
