The synopsis was very interesting and I looked forward to reading the First Look. But as I got into the story I was not pulled in. The prologue wasn't needed and would have been better folded into the story. The beginning jumped around a bit and I couldn't get into it. I wish the prophecy had actually been ominous instead of waiting to see why a stale donut is an issue.
