When I first saw the cover reveal of this book on social media, I was really intrigued. I enjoyed Cashore’s fantasy books in high school.
However, the content of this one seems heavily politicized. The realistic/magical realism was kind of odd. I also realized how juvenile her writing is. I’m sure this book would be great for younger readers from liberal homes, but that it is not me.
