This was such a cute book. Funny, caustic, and alive. It goes as follows: Cameron, a senior in high school, is a member of the Geeks And Nerds United (G.A.N.U.) club, which focuses on manga and anime. G.A.N.U., along with his other geek buddies and classmates D'Anthony, Mackenzie, and Jocelyn, is their go-to social group - a secure place for them to be who they want to be without being mocked as strange. This book felt like it would make a fantastic movie, a cheesy but entertaining teenage rom-com. The main character Cam is having a clandestine physical relationship with one of the most popular girls (Karla), and he is trying to figure out how to bring that relationship out of the shadows. This book tackles important topics such as masculinity, sex and consent, and of course the social order at tackles important topics such as masculinity, sex and consent, and the social order at schools.
