This is one of the last books I read last year. I haven't written an official review for it. I fell into a slump where I just didn't want to write reviews at all, but I digress. This book was really great! I felt the struggles of the book. You follow a guy who is just trying to fit in his skin so to speak. He belongs to a club for geeks, but he's secretly dating the class president. His emotions and thoughts about himself and others are so conflicted. I love how realistic it is. It doesn't sugarcoat high school life like some books do. The fact that it's told from an "underdogs" point of view makes it even better. I really related to him a lot. The only thing is I wasn't as communicative as he was. I had friends, but I didn't really connect with anybody like he did. In high school I felt so different and secluded from everybody else. I got vibes like that from the main character. I just wish I could have seen other points of view as well. Especially the class president's.
