The Wrong Kind of Weird is a delightful and fun read to feel your free time with. Many popular books rely on edgy plots and depressive situations, but this book is filled with light-hearted themes and witty characters who get you from the get-go. You can feel the instant chemistry between the main character and one of the love interest (Mackenzie), which seems to lead to an enemies to lovers arc.

The side characters are realistic and a total blast (especially the two best friends, who crack you up with their banter)

The pop culture references are pretty cool if you can recognize them and make you get familiar with the world of the main character and his personality. Otherwise, I'm afraid that if you don't have general idea what to say dragon ball Z is for example, you can get bored reading about something you personally aren't invested in
