The Wrong Kind of Weird was an interesting book to read. The characters were likeable and somewhat interesting, but I never found myself fully invested in them. I don't think it was the writing style so much as wanting a little more character development. I was able to vibe with the "nerd" energy within the story, but there was a lot of it. I'm not sure if that was a terrible thing, but it wasn't super great either. I think there are plenty of people who would connect with this book and enjoy it. The world building was sufficiently done and was easy to visualize. The pacing was decent but there were times when the story lagged which led to me struggling to keep focused while reading. I did go back to the book out of curiosity of what would happen with the characters. The story was mostly predictable as well so there wasn't anything shocking or surprising to hold my attention.
