his was a sweet YA story about being true to yourself in life and your relationships, including in who you love. I loved the diversity of the characters and their intense passion for manga. I also appreciated that Karla was given more depth as a character outside of being the highschool queen bee. The plot otherwise was pretty typical which did not detract from the experience of reading it. It just may not be a book that stays with me for long. If you have a young adult in your life who needs to hear that message, this would be a great book to put in their hands. As someone who is not in that demographic I am reminded that I need to stop reading YA.
