This excerpt simply didn't appeal to me. I thought it felt kind of boring. I didn't understand many of the references, and I thought the discussion about those topics went too in-depth for readers who don't know about them. I also wasn't a fan of the frequent sexual references and the short "hook up" scene. Overall, it just isn't the book for me, but maybe it gets better farther into the story....
