As an avid 'gamer girl' who grew up with Gameboys, Pokemon, and anime, this story had me hooked from the very first page. The author found a way to jump right into the story without making the reader feel like they were missing any world-building. I enjoyed the comfortable vibes between the main friend group and the jokes felt relatable and easy. I do think the description of the school's layout with and apropos dick joke wasn't necessary and fell flat, but maybe it is more significant to the storyline down the road. Will definitely be reading the rest of this story and can't wait to see where it goes.
