This was not my typical book category, but I’m very glad I read the first impression. Although this is YA, I actually understood a lot of the references as they were things I was into in high school (and I am quite a bit removed from that scene). In fact, I believe this author just became my new best friend because of the Trigun and Pride and Prejudice drops in the first chapters. I really like the mix trope of a Romeo and Juliet/ enemies to maybe lovers. There was also such deep emotion in the description of Cameron’s bullying and I’m very intrigued to read more of this story. I’m not big on high school drama, but the story is good so far! The cover is eye catching and the first impression was surprisingly good!
