I'll admit- I had some fun reading this horror story. Perkins horror books tend to be a bit small for me, so I feel like I'm left wanting more constantly.
The biggest detriment to this book is that nothing new stood out to me. I'm a giant horror nerd when it comes to movies, so it is really hard to impress me and that's not the fault of Perkins but me. I'm the one with the insane expectations.
I'm not giving this the lowest rating because I think this could be a great introduction YA novel for horror fans. It's not too scary, in my opinion which is high haha, and it holds a lot of familiar tropes that'll make the new genre easier for people.
It's also really nice to see two females be the center of a horror story, usually it is only one or they die early on, and it was just very refreshing. I enjoyed seeing them work together and then deal with the insanities of this book. We definitely need more along the lines of this in the horror genre.
