Over the river and through the woods....
Right off the bat, I knew I would enjoy this one. Our two best friend narrators quick witted banter and joking/teasing dialogue was amusing and light hearted yet enough to make you want to read more of their conversation and learn more about their relationship.
Two young girls, going on a last minute "going off to college" celebration in the woods, never before hikers take on a trail heavily marked for bear sightings and steep inclines, what could go wrong?
If you are anything like me, I slightly panic if things don't go according to plan or in this case exactly how I prepared myself for them to go. So as the girls near the end of their first day, already behind in timing AND can't find their camp, my anxiety started to kick in for them. It's trips like these that you never know how much is too much to bring or if, God forbid, you forgot something..
