That Cover - That Description! Can't Wait!
I have always been a huge fan of Stephanie Perkins' writing. It's fast-paced and snappy, so when I saw she was coming out with a new book, it immediately went on my TBR list. The fact that this is set in the Pisgah National Forest in my home state just makes it that much better.
I'm normally picky about YA horror, but Perkins' There's Someone Inside Your House was incredibly effective for me and it's one that I continue to think about years later. I'm so excited to see how this one turns out - with it's atmospheric setting and 80's slasher vibes.
The cover art here is also stunning. It conveys the exact tone that the book is going for - the woods are alive. The font choice and the fraying/blurring of light is creepy and just emphasizes the overall vibe of this story.
