The distorted, misty quality of the title on the cover perfectly sets the tone for this book. Neena and Josie are both easily relatable in their desire to brave the outdoors and their lack of knowledge on how to do it.
Their tension and frustration with each other during the difficult hike is spot on, and it ramps up quickly as the girls become unsure of their location on the path.
I know their friendship is going to be put to the ultimate test and I can’t wait to discover how, but I feel hopeful that despite everything their loyalty for each other will win out in the end.
I have never been so eager to be frightened.
