I'll start by saying this seems like a well-written book that would be really enjoyable for many people. I don't think it would be a great fit for me. In part because the writing style isn't my favorite. The opening wasn't very exciting and didn't do much to grab, so far it's just two girls going on a hike. There was also a line in the first chapter that personally bothered me. On the plus, I like that there's an Indian-American protagonist and that we already get to see ways in which her identity impacts her. Hopefully this book is a good fit for others.
