So far, it seems like the book is taking a while to get going. My interest was waning quickly just before the girls started having trouble finding the right path to get their tent set up for the night. The veiled warning from the teenage boy they met, hints of danger to come, and now as the excerpt provided ends, there is mystery concerning the third path that was found. I have a feeling the action will pick up quickly now.
